I was playing when I saw the box like in the image. My guess is that it appeared shortly above ground and then the earthquakes brung the ground above the box. One of my team mates got the box, but I don't understand how rain could get it. I thought that you had to a: use an explosive weapon to get it, b: kill someone and then the 3 white shots or w/e would get it, c: just blow up ground above the box.
You shoot it just like any other box. It's just underground. It hasn't happened to me for a long time, but I've seen it a good amount of times.
I don't see it as a high priority to be fixed because it almost never happens. Even if it happens it is not that difficult to get them because they are usually close to the surface.
I agree. The reason why I posted it is because I was wondering if anyone knew if it happend to them(which I thought). And I like these glitches/bugs. They make the game fun and funny. Unless a glitch is where it is bad in anyway. So I don't see the issue.
You don't need to be anywhere near it. You get the box like any other box, you just may have to destroy some ground first.
Here we are again, in the wonderful world of computer logic. Stay with me, would ya? Computers don't like it when they encounter something they don't know how to handle, in this case an underground box. Since boxes can't be underground (To the game, that is) it assumed that is was...how to say... the same distance above the surface that it was before the EQ occurred. In other words, it moved the crate above ground, but the sprite didn't move with it.
