I have noticed this a few times, and most of those times have been with the triangle bird (last of the three for livid birds), but sometimes it happens with other weapons. When it happened today with arrow I figured this might be a large bug (possibly not looking at the status of the projectile when it is in the terrain, which would make it only a problem with really thin hills). This occurring mainly with livid birds adds to this theory because the last one travels faster, making it easier for it to "not register" hitting the terrain. The image shows what this might look like with arrow. I really hope this gets fixed because this is something that can easily determine the outcome of a game.
In a situation like that it is best to actually aim for the terrain under the tank with certain weapons, unlike sniper, which needs to hit the tank itself. That's at least what I do just in case.
It happens to almost every weapon. This is due to possibly the frames of the game not being too high. (The game not your computer)
Been a thing since ssl2. Personally I love it. Balancing tank right at the top then having things pass right under you or a roller bypassing you, the chat after is bloody hilarious.
need smart nuke in this situations,to be sure However the best you can do is to use weapon with big range explosion and shot under the tank,if they remove this bug i would cry just beacause it is in SSL since 3000000000 years without anyone doing anything about that and now i'm attached to this bug
