Scroll in chat

I would like to see a scroll option in both lobby, room and in-game chats.

 

A scoll bar on the in game chat would be good yes i agree.

This is one of those features that he left out from SSL1.

 

A scroll bar seems simple to stick in the game and would greatly be appreciated.
Only one problem is people would see the scoller and say "This is what we got for an update ?!?

 

Never mind what they think atlest it's something usefull to use .

 

If it were the only thing in an update, it would be better then the updates where you don't know anything has changed.

Shouldn't the scroll be fixed with the weapon list in shop? It's pretty annoying when I can't scroll it correctly, it scrolls the entire page, not just the weapon list.​

 

Also in firing range or when you have like 1337 weps in a game....

I forgot to mention the "friend private message" needs a scroll!

Yeah you lot are right, the scroll for firing ranges and what not need fixing.

 

I thunk a scroll bar is actually sort of difficult to make it function properly... which is probably the reason he made the name in friend list smaller instead of adding a scroll bar

 

I think if we had a high friends cap, a scroll bar would be cool.

It can't be that difficult since it existed in the old SSL... and that was made years before this one....

 

I believe that a scroll bar for private messaging at least is necessary. And with that said, the friend cap should be raised (again), but that's another topic for a different thread. As for one for the lobby chats and in-game chats, that would be nice as well.

To be quite honest, I don't understand why this wasn't a thing to begin with. It's simple convenience, something that will always keep players playing.

 

Well remember, our computers don't store our friends list. I don't know exactly what does, but it's probably not infinite due to how much more space it would take. I'm assuming that's why there isn't unlimited friends, but then again, this is just a theory. So feel free to judge me

 

I would like to see a scroll bar, but wouldn't that leave the infinite text limit redundant? You can max the new limit out, and then do it again, and again, and again, and bam... Game froze again. Unless, of course, it started to delete some of the 1st posts once it reaches 20 sentences, etc.

 

There may be in the future.

It seems many people agree with this one. Maybe that's because it needs to exist?!

 

It's Kchamp's own server that stores it. So depending on the memory of the server, there just may not be enough space to up the friend cap. I imagine everyone has their own datafile on kchamp's server. Similarly, the scroll bar in chat would have to be hosted on the server (although unless Kchamp creates chat logs... I don't know if he even has them already) the file would be temporary I'm guessing. So again it all depends on how much the server can handle. But, I do really like this idea.

 

I was assuming it to be a server, but then again, it could always have been multiple thing that he uses to store memory.
