I didn't really know where to post this thread, I apologize if it's in a wrong section. Anyway, the point of this thread is to see how many of you agree/disagree to including no-move records to Damage Record list. Based on your votes, I will include/exclude them to/from the list. No replies needed, but feel free to comment if you have something to say or maybe even explain. I know not many of you still play or care about SSL2 but I felt like I needed to see what other people think about this. The poll will be closed after 7 days.
Okay, the option "Yes, but they should be separated from other records" changes everything. Is it going to be in a separated document, or in the same document but in a separated section or something? How would it work? If it's not going to exclude records that arent related to no move games it's okay for me... Edit: I'm gonna vote after your answer.
Same doc, just adding "no move" next to "1v1" and "multiplayer", like I said in Damage Records thread.
I personally think it's unfair to have no move records in SSL2. You can easily get huge amounts of damage, especially with huge range weapons like Pyrotechnics, way easier. If two people get the same amount of damage in multiplayer for the same weapon, the person in the moving game should get the record over the no-move game. I think it has less effect in 1v1, since there isn't really much advantage damage-wise, but if you don't allow no-move games in multiplayer, you might as well not allow no-move games 1v1, too. The only issue to me in removing those old no-move records is finding the second placers. We don't keep track of that, as far as I know, so we could just have a blank when someone else deserves that. But that's an issue for later.
I was thinking the same, but once she's gonna make separated section, just like already have (as Maya said) "1 vs 1: person, record damage" "Multplayer: person, record damage" "No move games: person, record damage". Thia way no move games records wont actually exclude move game records. At least this is how i understood, and i dont see any problems Note: not trying to change your mind, just saying that one wont exclude another once they're gonna be separated...
No-move 1v1's don't even exist. Even if I stay in one spot, it's not gonna help the opponent that much. And you can never know when it comes to 1v1, people can move in the first turn so it doesn't look like a no-move game but remain on that postition for the rest of the game. No-move 1v1's just don't make any sense, in my opinion. But yeah, no-move games in general are extremely unfair, I just wanted to see what other people think about those records.
I've been part of some no move 1v1s. Not very fun, but that's why I included them. They're nonsensical, but relevant. But yeah, I agree 100% with you.
Okay, guys. Most of you voted that no move records shouldn't be a part of the damage records list so I'll remove them when I get a chance.
